Quilting Classes

This quilted casserole mitt is not only very useful, but also fun to make. They make wonderful presents for those people who are generally hard to shop for. If you add a little bit of embroidery to the pocket, you will have something very personal. The best part of this project is that will have pre-cut kits available.

Quilt As You Go Project

This is our biggest project of the fall, a quilt-as-you-go quilt. We came up with this project on our own, so you won’t see it anywhere else. This 76” x 96” quilt was made entirely at the store, actually Gretchen did most of it. You will get a lot of practice with your BSR as you make this and learn a lot of techniques that can be applied to other projects.

Holiday Bed Runner

Make this charming bed runner to instantly decorate your bedroom for the holidays. All you need is a plain bedspread and you are ready. Not in the mood for a bed runner, you can make the smaller version for your table. The techniques your will learn are: cutting with a rotary cutter, piecing, quilting, binding and appliqué. Great class and equally great project.

Tumbler Quilt

This is a perfect quilt for a beginner, especially because there is a pre-cut kit. We made kits for this project with our Accu-quilt Go! System. The quilt itself is very easy to make and features fun Moda fabrics from the Boutique line. It is a wonderful quilt for a little girl. You will get this quilt top finished in one day. This might even be a project for a little girl to make herself!

Snow Sparkle Batik Quilt

Even though I swore I would never buy batiks again, I had to make this quilt. The quilt is very easy to make because it only has two blocks, a nine patch and a fussy cut focal block. The focal block is a snowflake, which is how the quilt gets its name. The finished quilt is 76” square and would be a perfect addition to anyone’s winter décor.

Christmas Topper

This project was suggested to me by the Moda rep. I quickly put the project together and it became an instant hit. Since everyone asked me for the pattern, I had to write it myself. The pattern is free with the purchase of the supplies. It is a stunning little project that could be made in a variety of colors. Ours has embroidery that we can help you with in the class.

Monogram Your Pillowcases

Not really a quilting class, but I didn’t know where else to put it. We made up a lot of great pillowcase kits from some brushed cottons in the store. Of course when I made the store sample, I monogrammed it. So many people asked for help putting the monograms together in the Embroidery software, that I decided to do a little class. Bring your laptops and we will do some designing. Great last minute gift idea.
