Frog Hooded Towel

Last month OESD introduced a new design pack called, Bathtime Fun.  This collection features different hooded towels to make with your embroidery machine.  We liked the projects so much we decided they had to be made.  In this class you will make the frog hooded towel as seen on Will.  (Will enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror.)  We will provide you with the designs and you bring the towels.  There are other animals available on the design pack, if you choose to purchase your own.  I think the grandkids should have numerous towels to choose from.  :)  Come ready to work as this project will take the whole two hours.

Potholder Portfolio

I saw this potholder in the store and for some reason it screamed out to me to embroider something on it.  We embroidered a 3-D flower, added some backing to cover the stabilizer and stitched on some towels.  A potholder portfolio was made.  This is actually a fun thing to made that you can use later in your sewing room to store special little gadgets or notions.  I think you could use it to store first aid item in and toss in the glove compartment of your car.  I might have to make one for the college students in my life.  I bet they could use a first-aid kit.  The design is from Dakota Collectibles.

Gift Card Holders

This is going to be one of your last chances this year to make good on the promise to yourself to give people handmade Christmas gifts.  These very easy, in-the-hoop projects are perfect for last minute gift giving.  In the class we will be making the center gift card holder with the poinsettia.  You will be able to make one of the holders in class to see how easy it is, then if you want to make one of the other designs in the pack you must purchase the pack for yourself.  If you like to give gift cards throughout the year, it would be very easy to customize the holders for different occasions using your BERNINA Embroidery Software.

Christmas Cards

I have always wanted to make my special family members embroidered Christmas cards.  So far it has never happened but I am very optimistic for this year.  Last December Amanda Whitlach did a fantastic Software Sampler presentation showing us how to make these beautiful cards.  I have made one, so I am well on my way.  Join us for Embroidery Club and you can send out these cards to your family members, as well.  The project is very quick and easy.  We scheduled the class in November so there wouldn’t be any excuses to not have these done and sent by Dec. 25th.
